What an incredible milestone: It began as pioneering rehabilitation programmes in Lou James's Physiotherapy Clinic and has grown into a nationwide charity - supporting people of all ages, with every type of cancer, at every stage of their journey.
Today, we fund the essential rehabilitation missing from standard cancer care, ensuring people can regain strength, confidence and quality of life.
As we mark this milestone, we are evolving our name to Cancer Rehabilitation Foundation (PINC & STEEL). This clearer name reflects who we are and what we fight for, while honouring the legacy that shaped us. This is not a new direction- it's a natural evolution.
Our purpose remains unchanged: to make cancer rehabilitation essential care for every New Zealander who needs it, not a privilege for the few.
With the continued generosity of our supporters, we will keep expanding access, improving equity, and helping thousands more people not just survive cancer - but truly live again.
